On eating

"One of the very nicest things about life is the way we must regularly stop whatever it is we are doing and devote our attention to eating." (Pavarotti)

I enjoy long lunches, with friends or, sometimes, without. To just sit down and think (or talk) about the world, about life; to watch the passing of the hour, the passing by of people on the cobbled street below or the pavement ahead; to just contemplate.

I think one of the most appealing feature of traveling is the jalan-jalan cari makan bit! and yes, i totally agree with you. i enjoy a good meal, preferably with good company! hm, anyways, we should definitely do more lunches this summer!

Yes, we should! In small numbers, though - it's difficult to have satisfying heart-to-hearts if tables have to be joined...

Cooking is my meditation..I find solace by cooking..the bonus is when people enjoyed my cooking! haha! Having to eat with close friends is in my opinion life's greatest joy..

Seeking values and meanings in life? Perhaps eating will help. Do not worry. Invite me sometimes. I cannot cook and I will treasure people's cookings more. Trust me.
